Recap of Babes, Booze & Business: Our First Ormond Beach Branch Meetup at Piraña Grille

Our First Ormond Beach Branch Meetup on May 30th, 2022, was an absolute success! Hosted from 6-8 PM at the vibrant Piraña Grille in Ormond Beach, we had the pleasure of connecting with an amazing group of local women entrepreneurs, all eager to support and grow their businesses through networking and collaboration.

It was a fantastic evening filled with inspiration, new connections, and lots of business buzz. We were thrilled to meet so many women ready to engage in this new chapter of Babes, Booze & Business in East Volusia County. Here's a recap of everything that made this event so special!

A Fun Venue: Piraña Grille

Our inaugural Ormond Beach meetup was held at the Piraña Grille, a local bar known for its good food, fun atmosphere, and exceptional drink prices. The venue was the perfect place to kick off this new branch, offering a loud and welcoming space for new and seasoned entrepreneurs to come together. Whether it was the fun vibe or the delicious snacks provided by Babes, Booze & Business, the evening was full of great conversation and inspiration.

Showcase Speaker: Haley Mathis – Intuitive Eating Coach

Our showcase speaker for the evening was the wonderful Haley Mathis, an Intuitive Eating Coach who is passionate about helping women build healthier relationships with food and their bodies. Haley's session was not only enlightening but also deeply empowering. She shared her expertise on intuitive eating, breaking down myths about dieting and providing actionable advice on how to approach food from a place of self-care and mindfulness, rather than restriction.

Haley's approach resonated with so many of us, especially as women entrepreneurs juggling personal and professional demands. Her message emphasized the importance of self-compassion and balance, two essential practices for success in both business and life. We left the evening feeling inspired to adopt a healthier mindset around food and self-care, and many of us were eager to dive deeper into Haley’s coaching services.

New Faces & Familiar Faces: A Blend of Fresh Energy

One of the best parts of this meetup was meeting the diverse group of women who joined us. We were excited to welcome both new business owners and networking veterans alike, each bringing their unique energy and experiences to the table.

• Krystal Sperry, a new face in the entrepreneurial world, shared her exciting new venture in the concierge business. With her passion for customer service and attention to detail, Krystal is ready to make a mark in the local community. It was wonderful to see her connecting with fellow business owners and getting great feedback from our network!

• On the other hand, we were lucky to have Hillary Deininger, a Million Dollar Earning Real Estate Agent, in the room. Hillary, a veteran in the industry, shared her insights and expertise with our newer members, reminding us all of the value of relationship building and consistent follow-through in business. Her success story was not only motivating but also a testament to the power of perseverance and hard work.

It was a great mix of fresh energy and seasoned wisdom, and the exchange of ideas and experiences made the evening all the more valuable.

Networking & Connections

As always, one of the most important aspects of Babes, Booze & Business is networking and supporting one another. Our Ormond Beach launch was the perfect opportunity to meet and connect with a group of women eager to help each other succeed. The room was filled with conversations about business goals, challenges, and opportunities, and everyone left with new connections and ideas on how to grow their businesses.

From exchanging business cards to discussing potential collaborations, the networking was natural and easy. It's clear that this new Ormond Beach branch is going to be a great asset to the Babes, Booze & Business community, and we can’t wait to see how it evolves!
