Lake Mary Meetup Recap for November 2022

If you’re looking for a night that had it all — beautiful art, big laughs, delicious wine, and business brilliance — our final Babes, Booze & Business Meetup of the year at Cork & Olive in Lake Mary was exactly that. We wrapped up 2022 in style, and I’m here to tell you all about it.

Where We Met

Cork & Olive gave us the perfect space to unwind and connect. The cozy wine bar atmosphere set the scene for great conversations and even greater company. With glasses clinking and chatter humming, it felt like a celebration from the minute we walked in the door.

We had not one but two powerhouse women take the spotlight that night, and they left us buzzing with ideas and inspiration.

Nancy Hatch – Photography Showcase

If you were at one of our earlier meetups, you might remember Nancy Hatch’s showcase got rained out (Florida weather, am I right?). But this time? We got the do-over we’d all been waiting for — and it was worth every minute.

Nancy displayed her stunning photography that captured everything from timeless portraits to breathtaking landscapes. You could feel her passion in every image, and it sparked so many conversations about the power of preserving moments, seeing beauty in the everyday, and using creativity to tell a story. It was more than a showcase — it was an experience.

Krystal Sperry – Elite Concierge

Next, we got to hear from the incredible Krystal Sperry, owner of Elite Concierge, who pretty much made us all wonder how we’d been living without her services. Krystal specializes in taking those extra tasks off your plate — whether it’s delivering lunch to busy offices, stocking Airbnbs with everything your guests need, or connecting travelers with the best local businesses and services in town.

She can basically do anything for anyone — but with a clear focus on helping businesses run smoother and giving visitors a true local experience. Her energy, her resourcefulness, and her genuine care for both her clients and the community were on full display, and I think we all left thinking: “I need an Elite Concierge in my life!”

The Vibes

What a crowd we had! This was one of our biggest meetups yet, and seeing so many familiar faces mixed with new friends just made my heart burst. There’s nothing like a room full of women who are cheering each other on and celebrating all we’ve built together over the year. It felt like the perfect send-off to an incredible season.

Bonus Fun: Our Chili Cook-Off Recap

I can’t let this recap go by without giving a shoutout to another amazing event we recently wrapped up — the Chili Cook-Off at the last Locals Mix Music & Arts Expo.

We had 12 chili contestants bring their best recipes to the table, and let me tell you — the competition was fierce and the flavors were fantastic. It was spicy, it was savory, it was straight-up fun. Pair that with live music, local art, and the community vibe we’re known for, and you had one of the most memorable nights of the season. Lauren Fackler with her Southwest Chili was our Competition Winner!

That’s a Wrap on 2022

This was our last Babes, Booze & Business Meetup of the year, and honestly — I couldn’t have asked for a better finale. The friendships we’ve built, the businesses we’ve supported, and the memories we’ve made together this year have been nothing short of amazing.

2023? We’re coming for you with even more fire, more fun, and more connection. I hope you’ll be right there with us for every single moment.
