DeLand Meetup Recap: A Night of Networking, Learning, and Fun at Grapevine Wine Bar

Our DeLand Meetup on July 6th, 2022, was an absolute success! The evening was filled with great conversations, valuable insights from our two fantastic showcase presenters, delicious snacks, and exciting prizes. If you couldn’t make it, here’s a look at what went down at this unforgettable event!

The Venue: Grapevine Wine Bar

We kicked off the night at the Grapevine Wine Bar—a cozy and welcoming space located at 111 Victoria Commons, Unit 113. Not to be confused with the Elusive Grape in Downtown Woodland, this spot provided the perfect backdrop for our event. The ambiance was just right, with everyone feeling relaxed and ready to connect.

The wine was flowing, the atmosphere was lively, and the delicious snacks kept everyone energized and engaged throughout the evening. It was the ideal place for women entrepreneurs and business owners to come together and network.

Showcase Presenter #1: Tara Bosinski Serkez - Comparion Insurance

Our first showcase presenter, Tara Bosinski Serkez, is a force in the insurance world. As a representative with Comparion Insurance, Tara shared her expertise on how individuals and business owners can secure the right coverage to protect what matters most.

Tara’s presentation was not only informative but also incredibly engaging. She broke down the complexities of insurance in a way that made it easy for everyone in the room to understand. Not only did she share her passion for roller derby, but she also gave us a deep dive into the importance of bookkeeping for small businesses.

Lauren discussed how having organized financial records can make or break a small business, and she shared helpful strategies for streamlining bookkeeping practices. Her practical tips helped attendees understand how staying on top of financials can lead to greater success and growth.
