Our Lake Mary babes came in strong for the very first meet-up of 2023 — and what a powerful, impactful night it turned out to be!
We gathered together at the cozy and welcoming Cork & Olive, ready to kick off the year with wine, wisdom, and women supporting women, and I have to say… this event gave us all the feels.

Setting the Scene
With glasses clinking and chatter filling the air, the vibe at Cork & Olive was warm and vibrant — exactly the space we needed to reconnect after the holidays. But we weren’t just there for the snacks and sips — we also came together with purpose.
Our incredible community showed up big-hearted and generous, donating feminine hygiene products to support survivors of sex trafficking, a cause that hits close to home here in Florida.
Our Guest Speaker — Earl Mallory, Bikers Against Sex Trafficking
Let’s talk about our eye-opening, powerful presentation from Earl Mallory, President of Bikers Against Sex Trafficking.Earl shared hard truths about sex trafficking in Florida — sadly, the #1 hotspot in the country — and gave us life-saving insights on what to watch for, how to protect ourselves, and how to support survivors who are rebuilding their lives.
It wasn’t an easy topic, but it was a necessary one.Earl’s passion and dedication to this cause left all of us feeling empowered, informed, and ready to be better allies in our community. Our donations of feminine hygiene products are going directly to women and girls who need these essentials as they start their new chapters — and that, my friends, is what this group is all about. Connection with purpose.
Our Showcase Presenter — Maryland Plumey, Amore Events
We also had the fabulous Maryland Plumey, owner of Amore Events, take the floor and showcase her up-and-coming business.Maryland shared her vision of crafting beautiful, memorable events that make every occasion feel effortless and elegant. From weddings to special gatherings, she’s building a business rooted in love, celebration, and creativity — and it was so fun hearing her excitement and answering everyone’s questions about how she’s making it all happen.
We love nothing more than seeing women-owned businesses blossom, and Maryland gave us all a glimpse of the magic she’s bringing to the local event scene.
The Vibe
This night was the perfect balance — deep and meaningful education mixed with lighthearted conversation, connection, and all-around boss babe energy. Our Lake Mary ladies showed up curious, generous, and ready to support one another — and we couldn’t have asked for a better kickoff to the year.
Looking Ahead
If this first meet-up is a hint of what’s to come in 2023, I think it’s safe to say we’re in for an unforgettable year.Big thank you to Earl Mallory and Maryland Plumey for sharing your time, talents, and knowledge with us. And an even bigger thank you to all of YOU for showing up, donating, and pouring into this beautiful community.
Until next time, keep connecting, protecting, and dreaming big.See you soon, boss babes of Lake Mary!
