Ohhh, what a NIGHT we had, ladies! Our final DeLand Meetup of the year went out with a bang — and I’m still smiling just thinking about it. So many new faces, big hugs, belly laughs, and connections that I know are going to turn into long-lasting friendships (and maybe even business besties).
Let me give you the full rundown, because if you missed it, you’re going to want to catch the next one.

Where We Met
We cozied up at The Parched Oak in the heart of downtown DeLand — seriously, this spot was perfect. Exposed brick, warm lighting, and the kind of place where you just feel instantly relaxed and ready to chat. If you haven’t been yet, trust me… you’re going to want to make a date there soon.
Our Two Incredible Presenters
We were spoiled this time with not one, but TWO powerhouse women who shared their hearts and their expertise with us. Let’s talk about them (because wow).
Jen Canada – AAA Insurance Agent
Okay, I’ll admit it — I thought AAA was just for if you lock your keys in your car. Jen totally opened our eyes! She walked us through how AAA is like your secret life hack — offering everything from full insurance coverage to discounts on everyday stuff like travel, shopping, dining, and bills.
She made insurance feel way less scary and way more like something smart girlfriends do to take care of themselves. Plus, Jen’s vibe was just so warm and approachable — like talking to a friend who just happens to know all the best ways to save you money.
Kerri Ann Flowers – So Fresh and So Clean XTRM Services
And then Kerri Ann… chills. This woman is the definition of resilient and real. She shared her journey as a sober business owner and how that’s shaped her mission to give others second chances. Her company handles extreme cleaning jobs (we’re talking the kind of messes most of us would run from), and she works with huge hotels like Hard Rock to keep their spaces sparkling.
What really stuck with me, though, was how passionate she is about creating employment opportunities for people who just need someone to believe in them. Her heart is as big as her hustle — and she reminded us all that business can be about more than just dollars. It can be about impact.
The Vibes
The whole night was just easy. Comfortable. Energizing. You know that feeling when you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be, surrounded by women who just understand you? That was the room. And seeing all those new faces showing up to support their friends? My heart was so full I thought it might burst.
A Quick Note from Me…
Right after this beautiful night, I ended up getting sick, and it took me a little longer than I’d hoped to bounce back — so that’s why you’re seeing this recap a tad late. Thanks for being patient while I’ve been resting and recharging. You all make it so easy to come back refreshed.
What’s Next?
Yes — this was our last DeLand Meetup of the year… but don’t get sad. Be excited, because 2023 is going to be FULL of even bigger, bolder, and more beautiful things for this community. We’re already dreaming up what’s next, and trust me — you’re going to want to be part of it.
So until next time, keep lifting each other up, supporting local, and staying fabulous. I’ll see you soon.
