Recap of the Inaugural Babes, Booze & Business Meetup: A Night of Empowerment, Networking, and Growth

Our very first Babes, Booze & Business meetup was a resounding success, and I couldn't be more thrilled with how it turned out! Held at The DeLand Hotel drinks and snacks provided by Hemingway's 442 on Wednesday December 1st from 6-8pm, the evening brought together 22 inspiring women in business for a powerful night of connection, collaboration, and personal growth.

The goal was simple: create a space where women could gather to support each other, share experiences, and help one another rise. And that’s exactly what we did.

A Space for Empowerment & Networking

From the moment attendees walked through the door, it was clear that this wasn't going to be your typical networking event. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a cozy setup featuring comfortable seating and a TV for a presentation. We took the time to create a space where women felt empowered to be their authentic selves while also fostering meaningful business connections.

The event kicked off with a brief presentation on the power of networking—how it can accelerate success, help you learn from others, and create a powerful, supportive community. We then followed that by a brief introduction by each attendee so we can better connect and get to know each other. The key takeaway? When we, as women, lift each other up, we create pathways to success that would otherwise be unreachable.

Learning, Sharing, and Growing Together

Throughout the evening, attendees had the opportunity to engage in open discussions and share their own experiences, challenges, and triumphs. It was clear that we all had unique stories, but there was one common theme: the importance of community and support. The idea that “we have a duty to fix each other’s crowns” resonated deeply with everyone, reminding us that when one woman rises, we all rise.

By sharing stories, providing advice, and offering encouragement, each attendee left feeling more connected to others in the room and more empowered in their own journey. Whether it was through casual conversation over a drink or structured discussions, there was a palpable sense of unity and shared purpose.

A Night of Fun & Inspiration

Of course, what’s a business event without a little fun? We mingled over drinks, laughed together, and celebrated our collective drive to succeed. The relaxed, open environment made it easy for everyone to feel at home, and we were able to form meaningful relationships that extended far beyond the event.

Looking Ahead: A Monthly Tradition

After such an amazing first meetup, we’re beyond excited to announce that we’ll be hosting the next Babes, Booze & Business gathering next month at the same venue. We can’t wait to continue this tradition of bringing together passionate women in business to support, learn from, and empower one another. Our mission is clear: building a network where women thrive together, with no limits to what we can achieve when we’re united.
