Exciting News: Our First Showcase Speaker & New Venue at Babes, Booze & Business Meetup

We’re thrilled to recap some exciting updates from our third Babes, Booze & Business meetup that happened on February 2nd 2022 from 6-8pm! Not only did we be gather at a new featured venue—the vibrant Chica’s Cuban Cafe—but we also introduced our first-ever showcase speaker, a special sponsor of the event who shared her business story and insights with our incredible community of women entrepreneurs.

This meetup was a game-changer, and we couldn't wait to come together, connect, and uplift each other as we continue to build a powerful network of like-minded women in business.

Meet Our First Showcase Speaker: A True Inspiration

One of the highlights of this event is the chance to hear from Jenna Brody-McLeod with Life Purpose Life Coaching, our first-ever showcase speaker and sponsor of the event. Jenna is an inspiring woman entrepreneur who has graciously supported our meetup by covering the cost of our delicious snacks. In return, she had the opportunity to present her business to a supportive, safe group of women who are all about collaboration, not competition.

We were so excited to give her the platform to share her story, the challenges she’s faced, and the lessons she’s learned along the way. This is a fantastic opportunity for all of us to witness how women can support each other’s growth, build confidence in presenting, and practice public speaking in a non-judgmental space. If you’ve ever thought about showcasing your business but felt a little unsure, this is the perfect example of how we all have a role in helping each other succeed!

Our showcase speaker initiative is all about creating space for women to shine. Jenna talked about her business, what has worked for her, and how others can implement similar strategies for success all while navigating life with two small special needs children. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to expand, this was a great opportunity to learn from a real, local woman entrepreneur who’s actively making strides in the business world.

A New Venue: Chica’s Cuban Cafe

This time, we’re excited to meet at Chica’s Cuban Cafe, a local gem that not only serves amazing Cuban food but also offers a vibrant atmosphere perfect for a night of networking and inspiration. Whether you’re there for the great food, the warm ambiance, or the company of your fellow entrepreneurs, Chica’s is the perfect setting for our next meetup. Ileana and her team did an amazing job of providing excellent service while opening their typically closed on Wednesday doors just for us!

As always, our goal is to bring local women entrepreneurs together in a fun, relaxed space to connect, support, and share knowledge. We love spotlighting local businesses, and Chica’s Cuban Cafe is the ideal place for our event.
